Joining Advocacy Groups

Summary

Pacific Community Venture's small business loan program is a member of three advocacy groups, both on the local and national level. The San Francisco Economic Development Alliance (SFEDA) and the East Bay Economic Alliance are two groups located in the Bay Area, where PCV does most of its work. Both of these alliances actively advocate for the growth and health of small businesses and in doing so direct potential recipients to PCV. The Opportunity Finance Network is a national CDFI advocacy group whose reach is more sweeping, but holds the same goals in aiming to support economically disadvantaged commutes. Besides attracting potential loan recipients, partnering with these organizations helps PCV learn about the work that others are doing and partner with closely aligned organizations.
